Sunday: Beach recovery from Saturday’s long run + wakeboard outing with some of my faves.
Monday: Brick workout for 50 mins at Eco Fitness (with Coach David Cross); warmed up on the Woodways, biked a third, ran a third, finished on the bike.
Tuesday: Power vinyasa downtown for 90 minutes to wring out the remaining kinks leftover from wakeboarding; no track workout this week…gotta listen to the legs when they say NO.
Wednesday: Rain, rain, rain all day… except for when I arrived to the gym and jumped on the dreadmill to tackle six miles. It actually didn’t suck and I finished in 57 minutes.
Thursday: Retail therapy; I’m learning not to push it during seasons of emotional and physical exhaustion, so today I rested and did some shopping instead.
Friday: Friend therapy + yoga + cookies + wine = great prep for Saturday’s long run.
Saturday: Hot and humid 12-miler on the DI + yoga. My usual pains were nowhere to be found, but my hips? Yeah they learned to talk. I’ll be spinning on Sunday to work out the mess going on in there…

Monday: Track workout; Mile warm-up; 2x1200; 4x100 + cool down
Tuesday: Rest
Wednesday: 6.66 miles at race pace; aimed for 7 miles, but waited to run until evening and the humidity and hunger got to me..
Thursday: 3 mile tempo run on the Woodway treadmills (those jerks) + abs
Friday: Rest
Saturday: 10 miler + wakeboarding
Sunday: No cardio/conditioning… muscles were fatigued from wakeboarding. Holy bananas. Beach instead.
Noticeably absent from my workouts was yoga last week. I feel/felt it, and have to make time for those one/two days of serious stretching and focus, especially as the miles pile on some more.
I’m also revising the training schedule since I’m running Chicago in October vs. Maui in September. That will happen tonight and take effect this week.
Oh yeah, have you donated? http://american.redcross.org/goto/ShannonGraf
